Local Business Spotlight

Local Business Spotlight Terms

In each Spotlight round, one qualifying Malta-based business may be selected on merit to receive a Remote Launch website at no cost. These terms explain how that works.

  1. 01Who runs the initiative

The Local Business Spotlight is run by Chris Attard through the PimpMySite brand in Malta.

Questions about the initiative may be sent to chris@attardchris.com or through WhatsApp on +356 9920 9869.

  2. 02Purpose

PimpMySite may select one qualifying Malta-based business in each Spotlight round to receive a Remote Launch website at no cost. Applications are reviewed against the published criteria, and a selection is not guaranteed in every round.

The initiative is intended to help a local business improve its online presence while allowing PimpMySite to document genuine work and build a public portfolio.

  3. 03This is not a prize draw

Selection is based on the published criteria and the suitability of the business for that Spotlight round. It is not random.

There is no entry fee, purchase requirement or obligation to buy anything from PimpMySite. Purchasing another service does not improve the likelihood of selection.

  4. 04Who may apply?

The Spotlight is open to genuine businesses operating in Malta, including Gozo.

The person applying must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act for the business.

The business must be able to provide the information, photographs and permissions needed to complete the website within the agreed timeframe.

  5. 05Application period

The opening and closing dates for each active round are shown on the application page.

Applications received after a round closes are considered for a later round only if the applicant applies again. Applications do not automatically carry forward.

  6. 06Selection criteria

Applications are assessed on current online visibility, how clearly a website would help the business, readiness to supply the information needed, and suitability for a public case study. The decision is made by PimpMySite and is final.

  7. 07What the selected business receives

A Remote Launch one-page website, including one year of hosting, at no charge. Nothing else is included by default.

  8. 08What is not included as standard

The Local Business Spotlight includes a Remote Launch website. On-site photography, online shops, booking systems, customer logins, multi-language versions, paid advertising, ongoing content work and domain registration costs are not included as standard.

Any services requested outside the agreed Spotlight scope would be discussed and quoted separately before work begins.

  9. 09Applicant responsibilities

You confirm that the information you provide is accurate, that you are authorised to apply for the business, and that you own or have permission to use any material you supply.

  10. 10Case-study participation

The selected business must be comfortable allowing the completed project to be documented as a PimpMySite case study.

Business names, photographs, testimonials and results will only be published where the relevant permission has been given.

Selection does not by itself provide unlimited permission to publish business information, photographs, testimonials or results. Relevant publication permissions are confirmed separately with the selected business.

Private or confidential business information will not be published without permission.

  11. 11How applicant information is handled

Application information is used to assess the business, communicate with the applicant and manage the Local Business Spotlight.

Applications that are not selected are kept for up to 12 months after the relevant application round closes. They are then deleted or anonymised unless the information is needed for an ongoing complaint, legal obligation or dispute.

Information relating to a selected business may be kept for longer where necessary to deliver the website, document the project, meet accounting or legal responsibilities and manage any agreed case study.

More information is available in the Privacy Policy.

  12. 12Contacting the selected applicant

The selected business is contacted using the details provided. If there is no response within a reasonable period, another applicant may be selected instead.

  13. 13Changes or cancellation

PimpMySite may postpone, change or cancel an application round where necessary.

PimpMySite may also decide not to select a business where no suitable application is received.

Where possible, any important change will be explained on the website.

  14. 14Limits of responsibility

No specific enquiries, sales, search rankings or visitor numbers are promised as a result of taking part.

  15. 15Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta.

  16. 16Contact
