Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information PimpMySite may receive, why it is used, which services may process it, how long it is kept and what you can ask for.

  1. 01Who is responsible for your information?

PimpMySite is operated by Chris Attard, who is responsible for the personal information received through the website and related business communication.

    Email: chris@attardchris.com
    WhatsApp: +356 9920 9869

  2. 02What information may be received

    Current channels

    • WhatsApp: your mobile number, your WhatsApp profile name and whatever you choose to write or send.
    • Email: your email address and the content of your message.
    • A returned phone call: your name, mobile number and preferred time, used only to respond to a call request you made.
    • Necessary hosting and server information, such as IP addresses and server request information, processed to deliver and secure the website.

The website’s enquiry and Local Business Spotlight forms are not active, so no information is currently received through them.

When the web forms are activated

This policy will apply to the following additional information, and it will be described as active only once the forms genuinely accept submissions.

    • Service enquiry information: your name, business name or trade, mobile number, optional email address, locality, which option interests you, your preferred contact method and time, any existing online presence, and a short description of what you would like help with.
    • Local Business Spotlight information: the same contact and business details, your reasons for applying, and confirmation that you are authorised to apply for the business.
    • Anti-spam and submission metadata: a spam-check result, the page you submitted from, referral or campaign parameters if present, and the time of submission.
  3. 03WhatsApp enquiries

When you contact PimpMySite through WhatsApp, your message and contact details are also processed by WhatsApp under its own privacy terms.

WhatsApp is provided by Meta and is not controlled by PimpMySite. Only the details needed to reply, quote and keep a record of the enquiry are kept, and sensitive information should not be sent by WhatsApp.

  4. 04Callback requests through WhatsApp

The Request a Call feature allows you to enter your name, mobile number, preferred callback time and an optional note.

These details are used temporarily in your browser to prepare a WhatsApp message. They are not submitted to or stored by the PimpMySite website.

Nothing is sent to Chris until you choose to continue to WhatsApp and manually send the message. Once you send it, WhatsApp processes the message and contact details under its own privacy terms.

When a call is returned, your name, mobile number and preferred time are used only to respond to that request and discuss the services you asked about. PimpMySite does not rely on unsolicited incoming calls as its main way of communicating.

  5. 05Contact preference

Your preferred contact method is used to decide whether to reply through WhatsApp, email or a returned phone call.

  6. 06Why the information is used

To understand your enquiry, reply to you, prepare a quote, deliver agreed work, assess Local Business Spotlight applications fairly, keep a record of any consent you gave, and protect the website from abuse. Your information is never sold and is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

  7. 07Legal bases

Where you ask for information, a quote or steps towards a possible project, information may be used because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement.

General business correspondence, website security, preventing abuse and maintaining appropriate business records may rely on PimpMySite’s legitimate interests where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Where information must be kept to comply with a specific legal obligation, that obligation provides the relevant basis.

Optional marketing relies on consent and can be withdrawn at any time.

Information submitted for the Local Business Spotlight is used to administer and assess the initiative and communicate with applicants.

  8. 08Services that may receive or process information

    Current

    • WhatsApp and Meta, when you choose to contact PimpMySite through WhatsApp.
    • The email provider used for business email.
    • The website hosting provider serving these pages.

When the web forms are active

    • Supabase: database hosting for submissions and consent records.
    • Resend: sending the internal notification and your confirmation email.
    • Cloudflare Turnstile: spam protection on the forms.

Where personal information is transferred outside the EEA, an appropriate transfer mechanism is relied upon where required by applicable data-protection law.

  9. 09Cookies and similar technologies

The website may use strictly necessary technology required to operate and secure the service.

Optional marketing technologies are disabled by default and are activated only if you choose to allow them. Your preference is remembered so that you do not need to make the same choice on every visit.

You can change your choice at any time through Privacy choices in the website footer.

  10. 10Advertising measurement

If you choose to allow marketing technologies, PimpMySite may use Meta Business Tools, such as the Meta Pixel, to understand how visitors arriving from advertising interact with the website and whether advertising contributes to enquiries.

These tools are not activated until you provide the relevant marketing consent.

Information generated through these tools may be processed by Meta in accordance with its own terms and privacy information.

You can change your marketing preference at any time through Privacy choices in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops further use of these tools; it does not automatically delete information Meta has already received.

No name, telephone number, email address, callback time or message content is sent through these measurement tools.

  11. 11How long is information kept?

Website enquiries that do not become projects: normally kept for up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymised unless there is a reason to retain them for an ongoing complaint, dispute or legal obligation.

Unselected Spotlight applications: kept for up to 12 months after the relevant round closes, then deleted or anonymised unless an exception applies.

Client and project records: may be retained for longer where necessary to deliver the project, maintain appropriate business and accounting records, or deal with complaints, disputes or legal obligations.

Marketing: kept until consent is withdrawn or the information is no longer reasonably needed. A minimal suppression record may be retained where necessary to respect an opt-out.

  12. 12Marketing consent

Marketing consent is always optional, never bundled with an enquiry, and recorded separately with the exact wording you agreed to. You can withdraw it at any time by replying to any message or contacting us, and withdrawal does not affect your enquiry.

  13. 13Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to its use, withdraw consent and receive certain information in a portable format.

You may complain to the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner in Malta: idpc.org.mt.

  14. 14How information is protected

PimpMySite uses appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.

Access is limited to the people and services that reasonably need the information to operate the website, respond to enquiries and deliver agreed work.

  15. 15Contact

For any privacy question or request, email chris@attardchris.com or message WhatsApp on +356 9920 9869.

  16. 16Changes to this policy

The date this policy was last updated is shown at the bottom of this page, and the wording in force when you submitted a form is stored with your submission. Material changes will be published here before they take effect.
